Like the ad says, General Practice for sale in ABQ, NM.
This is an awesome opportunity for a general dentist. Great work/life balance, high income (I'm on track to make just under $500,000 this year), student loan forgiveness, and a potential to earn multi-millions on a private equity merger (more on this below)
Pay: As a practice owner, the pay changes each month, but for the past 3 years its been $40,000 per month. This year, 2022, its been closer to $42,000 per month.
2022: year to date: 700,000
2020: 836,000 (covid disturbanes)
Office OH is about 40%
Loan forgiveness: My office is currently qualified with the NHSC so any dentist working at least my schedule would qualify for $50,000 of loan forgiveness for every 2 years worked.
Potential multi-million dollar buy-Out: My practice is part of a larger group(no worries, we have complete autonomy over ALL day to day practice decisions. There never has been, and never will be someone else making our decisions.) and our group is planning on moving to private equity in the near future. This very practice listed for sale would be worth approximately $2,000,000, with the potential to be more, if the purchaser is willing to grow the group.
My practice consists of mainly bread and butter stuff. Nothing fancy. I place the occasional implant, but that accounts for a minority of my production.
So $42,000 a month, $50,000 every 2 years of loan forgiveness, and a potential multi-million dollar buy-out in a few years after taking over the practice.
OK, I know the above is what most people are interested in, but the work/life balance has to good, too.
Our office has multiple systems set up in place, including an incredible office manager, on-site IT support (so there is never a worry about tech going down and staying down), a well trained billing and collection department (collections are routinely close to 100%), very well trained front office, and a full-time employee on the phones. Stress is virtually non-existent.
We get 200 NP every month, patients have never been a problem. There are 3 other dentists in the practice as well, which allow for virtually no emergency office visits, ample time off each month (I have all Saturdays and Sundays off, and about 10 other days through the month off). Meaning you're never short on time to do whatever you so choose.
This really is a great practice, and I would stay, especially for the private equity movement, but for personal reasons, we have to move a bit closer to family.
Practice Price: $600,000, OBO. I'd be willing to seller finance as well. This was my first venture after dental school, and it was a good one. I hope that someone else in a similar circumstance could also benefit from being here.
