I need an associate/partner to come and join me in my busy practice in eastern Kentucky. I am located in Ashland, KY. I bought this practice two years ago and NEED someone to help me with the work load. There is a ton of room for growth. The overwhelming majority of dentists in town are 5 to 10 years from retiring and don't appear to be selling their practices, their plan is to just stop practicing. There is an opportunity here to be the largest, best practice in town simply because there is a severe shortage of good, capable dentists. I am booked out roughly a month and I am only doing work that is necessary (broken teeth, extractions and dentures, etc). I place a fair amount of implants, mostly for denture stabilization. I am in-network with Delta Dental and that's it. NO Medicaid. I have developed an in-house membership plan that covers patients' cleanings, exams, and x-rays and gives them a 20% discount on their treatment.
While I am looking for another general dentist, I would also strongly consider brining in an Endodontist and/or an Oral Surgeon. We have a tremendous need in this area for both specialists. Our closest Endodontist is 30 minutes away and he is booked out for 3-4 months. He doesn't accept any insurance and he requires cash up front. We have one oral surgeon in town and he is difficult to get in to see as well. Both of these specialists are in their late 50's/early 60's. Our community, and my practice, would greatly benefit from having either of these two specialists in town.
I graduated from VCU dental school in 2007. I have practiced in Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, North Carolina, and now, Kentucky. I have 5 kids ranging from a senior in high school to a second grader. We have really enjoyed the slow pace that the small town life has to offer. Our kids have had opportunities here that they never would have had in the other areas we have lived in, and the schools are highly rated. I have already done the "big-city, dentist on every corner" lifestyle. Trust me, it's not worth it. Please give me a call. Shoot me an email. I would love to talk to you more about what we are doing here. I need your help. Thank you.
