Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Service Project
Overview: The Academy of LDS Dentists has been encouraging its members to participate in dental service projects in Puerto Vallarta for the past 5-6 years.
Presently, service is being done at two orphanages and two outlying villages. The orphanages are: Casa Hogar Maximo Cornejo and the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza. The two villages are: Punta de Mita and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Dental service trips are made in winter or early spring. Recent trips have been in Jan.-Feb. At this point we have only had one trip per year. Eight dentist are able to serve during a two week period of time. That is four dentists at a time for one week followed by another team of four for a second week. We also have had hygienists on our teams.
Requirements for Participation: A current and valid passport from your country of residence-US,Canadian,etc. Necessary invitation letters and other paper work will be provided by the Puerto Vallarta Service Project leaders.

Participants will be selected on the basis of their qualifications with preference given to those who speak Spanish well.
